K-12 Teachers STEM Workshop

The SMART FIRES Education and Outreach team will host an educational workshop for K-12 teachers as part of the STEM Summer Institute. The workshop will be led by education staff from the Montana State University Science Math Resource Center and spectrUM Discovery Area.

The workshop will include an overview of SMART FIRES research as well as some of the educational and outreach opportunities available for teachers. We will showcase a few short activities that teachers can do in their classrooms; discuss citizen science possibilities; and request information from teachers on what is most useful to them going forward.
