SUMMARY:Science Communication Workshop
DESCRIPTION:UM researchers\, faculty\, and graduate students will have the opportunity for a hands-on professional development workshop aimed at building participants’ confidence and experience engaging diverse audiences with science and research. Through interactive activities and field trips to spectrUM Discovery Area and the UM Living Lab\, participants will draw on their own research background to explore approaches to communicating with grant proposal reviewers\, interdisciplinary academic audiences\, and members of the public of all ages. This workshop is a collaboration between the Research Development Office\, the Broader Impacts Group\, spectrUM Discovery Area\, and the UM Living Lab. Participation is limited and registration is required.
