The Smokevan is a traveling laboratory operated by our University of Montana Fire and Smoke Sciences team. They take the van onsite during prescribed burns to obtain realtime, on location measurements of environmental data. The van is outfitted with a suite of sensors and scientists can monitor readings from inside the vehicle. Read more about the Smokevan.
